Norton Back-to-School House Party

I was finally chosen to host a House Party and it's called the Norton Back-To-School House Party. For anyone that doesn't know what House Party is, it's a great website that you can join, where you get the chance to host a party at your house with a particular product.  It's a great way to have friends and family over for a good time and save on that certain product.  The product I got is Norton and it's an Anti-virus software for your computer. Mail Call for 07/18/11-07/25/11

Some of the things that I have gotten in the mail between last Monday through yesterday. I think I left out a bunch of stuff in the process. LOL.

I won a box of cereal from Fiber One from Facebook and I couldn't believe they sent me a full size box of cereal in the mail! Typically I'd get a coupon for the product for free, so they really outdid themselves on this giveaway! I also got some samples of Shampoo, Conditioner, and etc from Frederic Fekkai. I also got a coupon booklet in the mail from Publix that had TONS of awesome coupons in it that can be used with manufactured coupons to double my savings, when I shop there! I love me some PUBLIX, especially when they have their BOGO deals on the items we need and use.  Yesterday, I got a box from Wal-Mart and to my surprise, there was a small mini sample of Crest mouthwash, a sample package of floss and a sample travel size of Crest toothpaste and they also gave me coupons for all of the items, they sent me. =)  Last but not least, I finally got my coupon for FREE PANTENE shampoo/conditioner, that I got through their FB page giveaway. I also got free lipstick from Milani, that is not in the picture.  Still waiting to see what the rest of the week has in store for me. =)

My trip to Pier 1 Imports today!

I have never been inside a Pier 1 Imports, until today and let me just say "WOW!" Really great stuff, but really expensive!  I got a $10 off a $10 purchase from Pier 1 Import's FB page yesterday and decided to see, if I could score some free stuff and needless to say, I did not walk of the store empty handed!!!  Check out these cute scented gel beads in their decorative containers! They were $5 each and I got two of them and I didn't even have to pay taxes on it, so they were absolutely FREE!!! The customer service associate was also very sweet towards me and my kids. Thanks, Pier 1 Imports!

I'm always on the lookout on Facebook, to see if I can score any freebies or good deals. These days, a dollar can go a LONG ways! Many people don't realize how companies are taking advantage of advertising on Facebook, so we the consumers can get a good deal on their product or possibly even get it for free.  Being a mom of three and a stepmom to two, anything and everything helps!

My day

I had butterflys in my stomach all day, b/c today was the day, where I had to go to the dentist to get my temporary crown removed, and replaced with my permanent crown.  I don't mind the dentist, if it's just a regular visit, but when it has to do with cavities or crowns, I tend to get nervous. I go to Professional Lane Dental Associates and I found them by searching the internet. Dr. Hein is an awesome dentist and I even referred my husband to her. It took less than 30 minutes for her to get the temp out and the permanent crown in.  We left to go home and I had to get my 8 yr old ready for his 3rd football practice.  Everything was great, until it was time to leave and I tried to start my car.  The Yukon wouldn't start. I was freaking out, b/c my husband was at work and wouldn't get off til morning and so I told my son to get his coach and all of them came over and figured out that the battery was dead.  Thank goodness, they were kind enough to help us, b/c I had my three boys with me, one of them being a 10 month old baby.  But we got the help we needed, and the car was jumped off and we made it home safely.  That was our day.

Meeting Other Dothan Moms

I'm a stay-at-home mom to three kids, who are all boys. I have a 8 yr old, 5 yr old, and a 10 month old. I moved here from GA, where I was born and raised for 27 years, before moving to AL and marrying my husband.

After living in Ashford for almost 2 years. I finally joined a group called "Dothan Moms Meetup". I RSVPed for 3 events. The first one was for Story Time at Barnes & Noble last Wednesday.  It was kind of a bust, b/c I didn't meet anybody.  But today I went to the Wiregrass Commons Mall to walk early this morning with my three kids. It was a great success.  I met the host, who's name was Jessica. She was totally sweet, with three kids of her own, and one on the way. Then I met a woman named Meredith, who had one son and one on the way. And then Tara, who had one son.  I'm not the type of person to just go up and meet people, b/c I'm really shy most of the time. But after living here and not having any friends, and leaving all of my friends back home. I had to get out and make myself, make friends. We had a good time.  We did three laps around the mall, before going our separate ways, until another event began at 11:00 at Simple Simon's Pizza. This event was planned by Gina, another event host and she was wonderful, too! The kid's just loved every minute of it! I saw Jessica and her kids again, and a bunch of other moms. I will definitely be RSVPing for more things to do with the kids! =)
